Hi all,

Can anyone help to solve this problem?
Imagine a big plate suspended in the air through three threads with different length.
we know length of each individual thread, and they are 120 degree apart from each other.
How cam we calculate the tilt of the plate and direction of the tilt?

Thanks

The ends of the threads give you 3 points in space which determine a plane in space. This plane gives you the answers you want.

Imagine a big plate suspended in the air through three threads with different length.
Are the three threads vertical? Are you given the locations of the places the plate is suspended from?

. . . they are 120 degree apart from each other.
Can you clarify what you mean by that? Can you provide a diagram?
