# Get $3000 in two months, what is total week pay? #### Richyinsideyou If I get \$3000 in two months. How much money would I earn weekly to complete the \$3000 in two months? Last edited by a moderator: #### v8archie Math Team It depends which months and which year. #### aurel5 If the months are September and November 2014, follows that we have 9 working weeks. #### Timios \$3000 in two months = \$18000 per year. There are 52 weeks in a year. 18000 ÷ 52 = 346.1538462 To the nearest cent, you would need to earn \$346.15 per week.

There are more than 52 weeks in a year, and most contracts include a holiday allowance. My old finance director was adamant that people would not be paid for their annual leave, so those days (and weekends and public holidays) should be taken out of the year when working out the day rate.

Time when the company shut down would also be excluded.

When he's retired, in that case, he shouldn't be allowed any pension payments in respect of weekends or public holidays!

There are more than 52 weeks in a year...
Oh yes, you're right. Rounding to hundredths:

365.25 ÷ 7 = 52.18

There are about 52.18 weeks in a year. But I hold to the peculiar notion that the employer had in mind 52 weeks in a year (rounding to the nearest whole week).

Geeeezzzzz....wouldn't it be nice if we could slow down the Earth's
speed a little, so that it takes EXACTLY 360 days for an Earthly Loop !

#### Timios

Why 360 days?

We'd have to slow it only to 364 days to have a precise 52-week year.

Decreasing the orbital period would involve decreasing the orbital radius, and move us closer to the sun.

Given the fact that the human virus infecting the Earth is already turning the Earth into a greenhouse, is this something we want?

Perhaps making lengthening the day would be better.
