# Good news regarding the recent LaTeX issues

Our administrator julien has found the problem and applied a fix! So far, from what I have found, this fixes the issues I know about. 8)

We would appreciate it if anyone finds a problem that still exists that it be reported here. Thank you!

Testing LaTeX . . . using \text.

$$\displaystyle \text{The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.}$$
(Certain letters or combinations made it hiccup.)

$$\displaystyle \text{And now we substitute into [1] . . .}$$
(It always misspelled "substitute".)

$$\displaystyle \text{Let}$$
(It didn't like short \text messages.)

$$\displaystyle \text{It seems to be working fine now.} \text{Thank you, Julien and MarkFL!}$$

A small issue I have after the last fix. \rule does not work any more, although it worked before!

doesn't seem to be rendering :

I have found an alternative solution and posting it here if others find it helpful :

The display is essentially the same as the code before, just that it needs a tiny bit more typing than the one not rendering :

$$\displaystyle \Rightarrow x^3 + 1 \, {= 0$$
