Find the mass of a cube with edge length 2 and density equal to the square of the distance from one corner.

What is edge length? What is the square of "the distance from one corner"?

edge length is just the length of the side of the cube.

suppose you orient the cube so that one of the corners of the cube is at the origin.

the square of the distance from one corner to the point $(x,y,z)$ is just

$d^2 = (x^2+y^2+z^2)$
