are you writing, for example, "NOT A" as A! ?

standard notation is !A

Really? I thought $\bar{A}$ is more common outside of $\neg$
I meant w/regard as to which side of the variable the negation symbol falls.

Yes I've seen $\neg$ and ~ used as well but always on the left side of the variable.
